I grew up in a motorcycle family. My father owned a motorcycle service shop and salvage yard where I learned basic motorcycle repair. My father was also a road racer, winning multiple AHRMA National championships and he's still racing today well into his 70s.
I started racing motocross at 5 years old and made it as far as the Loretta Lynn Amateur Nationals. I transitioned into road racing when I was 21 and had some decent success; winning a WERA National Endurance championship, multiple F-USA Thunderbike podiums and top 10 finishes in AMA Pro racing.
In 2006 I was hired by Kawasaki as a full time R+D test rider. I was an integral part of all street bike development from 2006 to 2020, and was the factory Superbike test rider in 2007 t0 2008.
I was invited by the Kawasaki Japan R+D team to race with them at the Suzuka 8 hour in 2011, 2012 and 2013. In 2013 we finished 16th on a nearly stock ZX10.
In 2014 I began building race bikes for pro racers and in 2017 I started working as a crew chief in Moto America, where I helped Andrew Lee achieve his first professional podium.
In 2018 I continued working with Andrew Lee and together we won the AFM, CVMA and Moto America Stock 1000 championship. We would win the Moto AMerica Stock 1000 championship again in 2019.
In 2020 I worked with Richie Escalante and together we won the Moto America Supersport championship.
I would take a step back from national racing in 2021 to 2023, but continued to build race bikes and helped Brenden Ketelsen break track records and win races in AFM and CVMA.
In 2024 I worked with Tytlers Cycle Racing as Stefano Mesa's crew chief in Moto America Supersport.
